Why we will never sell you a “12-stage” purifier

Shops are advertising 8 stages, 10 stages, 12 stages. Ours are 5, 7 and 9, and that is where they are staying. The reason is not noble — it is arithmetic.

Every extra cartridge is a cartridge someone has to buy again, every few months, for as long as the machine runs. In most homes that someone is you. Here it is us — we pay for every filter for the whole time you are covered.

So a stage we fit is a stage we pay for, over and over. That makes the decision very simple: it goes in only if it actually does something.
